Parents In Law Are Here

Been a crazy few days from Sunday to Wednesday. Worked on group uni assignment on Sunday til about midnight, then went to airport pick up my parents in law (they are here now! :)) the next morning, and then worked overtime til 1am on Monday night. By Tuesday evening I was exhausted and called it an early night. I sure am past the age where I can still expect my brain to function close to 100% after a couple of late intensive nights.

Wednesday wasn't much better with the usual uni after work. My in laws probably thought I was avoiding them by then. Luckily Rafa provided them with plenty of entertainment in the meantime and Wenty brought them to the usual local shops and mall. The modest home is a much more interesting place to be at with a lively and noisy 2 year old around.

Rafa was his usual shy self when we picked his grandparents up from the airport as he hasn't seen them for 10 months (which is a long time for a 2 yo). But he warmed up to them very quickly and the number of time he calls his 'Ah Kong' everyday in various playful tones is too many to count. 'Ah Kong morning', 'Ah Kong good night', 'Ah Kong 吃', and constantly dragging his 'Ah Kong' to his toys and books to play with him.

The later part of the week was much better though as I finally had time to bring them around. Anyway, as usual, took lots of photos of Rafa with his grandparents. Very precious memory as he only gets to see them may be a month or two every year.

Thankfully the weather in Geelong held up relatively well while we were there despite the rainy day in Melbourne.
