Tasmania Day 3 & 4: Salamanca, Kate's Berry Farm & Evandale

The third day was even wetter than our second day there. We braved the rain to visit Salamanca market in Hobart in the morning. It's a nice market that's on every Saturday along this street that is full of old colonial era buildings.

A quick lunch nearby and we headed for the road again back north to Launceston. This time I took the slightly longer drive via east coast for a change of sight. Unfortunately the wet weather meant we couldn't really make a decent stop in the coastal towns.

Thankfully it stopped raining when we reached Swansea as Kate's berry farm in Swansea was on the list of the places that I had planned to stop at. It's a nice little shop in the middle of nowhere (plenty of people visiting despite that too) with very yummy desserts made of their own berries. They also sell jams and hand made chocolate there.

Back at Launceston and more running, playing and exploring for the kiddo.

We flew back at 2pm on day 4 so most of the half day we had in that final day was spent in Evandale, which is a nice little village less than 10 minutes from Launceston airport. They have a market there every Sunday too.

That was our 4 days in Tassie. It's actually a very similar trip to our last visit there 3 1/2 years ago, except that we have got a little bandit and my parents in law with us this time. Next time we go down there, we'll definitely skip the cities and see more of the beautiful mother nature down there.

Nice leisurely trip! And love the pics esp those with the vintage filter. How long was the flight from Melbourne?

Thanks Mei Yee. Launceston was about 50 minutes flight, Hobart was slightly longer from memory but still just over the 1 hour mark. So when are you coming to visit?
